Who we serve?
A network that brings together vocational training centers willing to work hand in hand to better fulfill their common social mission: bringing positive change in the lives of vulnerable youth.
A network that brings together vocational training centers willing to work hand in hand to better fulfill their common social mission: bringing positive change in the lives of vulnerable youth.
We gather and facilitate experience and expertise exchanges between member schools; to help them build solid foundations for sustainable development, and to promote them and their common vision of training and tourism to hospitality professionals and public authorities.
By inspiring transformation towards innovative models that focus on hands-on, market related training and promoting sustainable approaches in TVET systems in Southeast Asia, particularly in the hospitality & catering sector, we can teach vulnerable youth trades that will allow them to successfully integrate into society.
ASSET-H&C strengthens member schools’ capacities to have a greater impact on disadvantaged populations. Through the network, members can broaden their perspective, share expertise, strengthen one another and receive technical assistance.

ASSET-H&C members aim to create long-lasting impact through sustainable practices. An alumnus of École d’Hôtellerie et de Tourisme Paul Dubrule, Borei Pat, is doing just that.
Borei Pat, Class of 2003 and founder of the ‘Stay Nature Group’ gives back by helping the environment as well as his country. Starting initiatives like (One Person One Tree) tree planting events; with the last event having 1000 people attending and gathering people to pick up trash in their village.
“I am very proud to be the owner of businesses in which sustainability is its focal point. For me, it’s not just about the profit but more importantly how my businesses have created jobs for Cambodians and have impacted the community in positive ways.”
Borei has also returned to EHT Paul Dubrule to recruit students and sent potential donors to visit the school.
To support our member school Bayon Pastry School Coffee Shop in improving techinical skills, IECD’s bakery & patisserie expert Quentin Philippe facilitated a 3-day Training for Trainers workshop at the school campus a few weeks ago.
The trainers enjoyed learning French artisanal techniques to make 3 types of bread: French baguette, seeded bread and traditional French bread. Check out their products in the photos!
“Bayon has a beautiful campus and the trainers are very passionate. It was a great pleasure for me to share my bakery experience with them and strengthen the relationship among member schools of ASSET-H&C. In the time to come, we would also love to promote a Bakers’ network and Trainers’ community to grow together in training as well as professional skills”, shared Quentin.
Over the course of three years, ASSET-H&C successfully allocated a total of 118 scholarships to highly motivated students. It was an honour and pleasure to watch these students overcome such obstacles and thrive, showing a resilience that would be invaluable in their future careers.
Among them was Bunchhoeur who attended SPOONS, Cambodia Class 2022. Thanks to the support of the scholarship and the guidance of the school, over the course of his studies, he learnt not only restaurant service, but also many life skills and English. He transformed from a shy student to one full of confidence, who was always willing to help his fellow students and take care of SPOONS’s garden. We are pleased that he was able to get a job at Cambodia Catering Company in Siem Reap.
